Exterior paint is only as strong as its substrate (the surface that it protects). That is why the manufacturer recommends applying to a "clean, dry" surface, otherwise it will merely stick to the dirt and dust and not the substrate. In order for paint to adhere properly, exteriors should always be pressure washed with a 3000 psi power washer prior to painting. We, at Prestigious, include power washing at no extra cost, free with the paint job.
What is our favored paint for exteriors?
For the money and coverage, my preference is Sherwin-Williams A100, or above. It lasts longer than the color will be in style, and it won't break the bank. It is well worth the money.
